Installation Procedure

Copy the OpenFirmware file up050404 on your boot partition.

Start your Pegasos II system and type the following command line

boot/pci/ide/disk@0,0:0 up050404

This will result in the following message to appear on your screen:

WELCOME TO PEGASOS BIOS UPDATE

WARNING: THIS TOOL CAN RENDER YOUR SYSTEM USELESS
YOU BETTER READ THE MANUAL CAREFULLY

<ENTER> to start,any other key aborts
DO NOT INTERRUPT THIS PROGRAM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

Network boot 10/100(setenv client-ip/setenvserver-ip)
removed 256MB memory limitation in Linux
RAM timing changes for better support of various memory modules
additional RTAS functions
